For fine woodworkers like those at Rockwood, coordinating millwork with your doors or creating custom furnishings and finish details is a natural. Few woodworking challenges exceed our capabilities, including door frame construction and all types of trim. We do crown and baseboard moldings of any design: standing or running; straight, radius or arched; prefinished or finished on the job.

Among our recent custom millwork projects are box beams mitered to look like solid beams, hand-hewn beams made with antique tools, wire brushings and hand-planing (or a hand-planed look). Imagine these in pine, knotty oak or many other wood species.

We have also created moving wall systems including a 60′ long expanse of folding doors. A spectacular recent use of custom millwork was to create end cap panels for library bookcases using cherry and faux leather. We also build partition windows, computer stations and kiosks, as well as matching furniture, such as desks and conference tables.

In another instance we combined our millwork capabilities with our extensive knowledge of door action, using Harmon hinges to fold doors so they appear to be part of the wall paneling.
